drove one of those when i visited the UK in 2000 , it was crap!

the only good bit about it , was the 1.9D motor.

ran off the road somewhere in the north of Scotland. luckily no real damage

We had the 1.3 petrol, paid a whole £450 for it. It was at least very reliable, but otherwise there were no redeeming features.

Its beautiful.

I don’t know if I ever told anyone but I love Skoda especially mine but during the post WWII/Cold War period there wasn’t many truly beautiful cars. Granted there was a reason for that but none the less, not a great time for elegance in the Skoda stable.

Though they’ve come along in leaps and bounds in the last few years.
